StarPay Multi-Payment Privacy Policy

NETSTARS Co., Ltd. will handle the personal information obtained through the StarPay QR code and barcode payment services (hereinafter the “StarPay Multi-Payment Service”) and via receipt of merchant application forms as follows. (This policy also applies to merchant application forms and web applications submitted via NETSTARS Co., Ltd. agencies)

Specific Personal Information Acquired
– On service presentation
Name, phone number, address, email address
– On contracting for services
Merchant company representative name, representative date of birth, company staff name, email address, phone number, store staff name
* The personal information of the company representative and the store staff will be handled by the NETSTARS staff in charge of the client company.
Points of Acquiring Personal Information
– On service presentation
・Provision from client during presentation over the phone
・Introduction from sales/merchants during exhibit at exhibitions
・Inquiries via the website
・Introduction from agencies
– On application for services
StarPay Multi-Payment Service application form (hereinafter “merchant application form”)
Mobile payment terminal application form receipt
Information input via the StarPay application management system
About the Purpose of Use for Personal Information
– On service presentation
Information exchange, including service presentation, rate estimates, confirmation of merchant application forms, etc.
– On application for services
・Registration to the merchant management system of merchant/terminal application form information
・Provision of information necessary for merchant screening to payment brands receiving application
・Provision of mailing address information to contracted warehouse on shipment of payment brand promotion goods or terminals (if purchasing/renting a Company-offered terminal)
・Notification of merchant-specific license, management system account, etc.
・Provision of staff information to partner companies if the merchant wishes to use SIM services for network communication on their terminal
・Mailing bank transfer statements to staff on NETSTARS bank transfer of payment amounts to the merchant
・Email notification of new services related to the StarPay Multi-Payment Service (notification may be suspended on petition by the email recipient)
・Acquisition of staff information in order to respond to inquiries by a merchant to the helpdesk
・Obtaining staff information to reply to inquiries from a merchant to the helpdesk
・Provision of application information and payment amount information to agents when application is made via an agent
・Responding to inquiries and modifying services in relation to StarPay order services usage
* If there is any change in the above purpose of use or any new purpose of use arises, we will issue notification and obtain consent.
* This policy also applies in the event of submitting a Merchant Application Form to an agency of the Company
In the following cases, personal information will be provided to third parties other than the Company. [Brackets indicate the third party receiving provision of personal information]

・When a merchant requests use of terminal SIM services on new contract or at any time thereafter [Japanese domestic SIM service company]
・Contracted partner warehouses on mailing promotional goods (all merchants) or on purchase of a terminal (for merchants requesting service use) [Japanese domestic logistics warehouse/shipping agent]
・ On receipt of a merchant inquiry to the helpdesk [Contracted call center company]
・ On setting up the management screen for StarPay order services [Development company]

Note that the personal information in each of these situations shall be the company staff’s name, email address, and phone number.

On Disclosure, Etc. of Personal Information
At the request of the individual concerned, we will comply by notifying them of the purpose of use of the personal information for disclosure held by the Company, disclose the information, correct/add/delete information, suspend use, or suspend provision to third parties. On the Voluntary Nature of Personal Information Provision
Though it is not mandatory to provide personal information when filling out an application form, failure to provide some items listed in the form may interfere with subsequent procedures, provision of services, etc.
Data Transmission Method
When handling personal information, any electronic data will be sent using a Windows desktop application with a password. Any data sent in paper form will be delivered by mail service (proof of delivery may not be available) or by courier delivery via Sagawa Express Co., Ltd.
