NETSTARS Collaborates with Stripe: Working toward Compatibility with Stripe QR Code Payments
NETSTARS Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Tsuyoshi Ri; hereinafter, “NETSTARS”) will support the service provision of the world-leading business-oriented financial infrastructure platform “Stripe” in the addition of a new QR code payment service to the lineup available in Japan, by connecting our multi-cashless payment solution “StarPay”. As a first step, NETSTARS will support the launch of a connection with PayPay. Stripe provides several million businesses around the globe, of various different scales, with support for online payments, automation of financial and banking processing, and sales expansion. Code payments have become an indispensable means of settlement in Japan, with the total payment amount in 2024 reaching 18.6 trillion yen*1, and compatibility with code payments not only improves convenience for the end user, but also leads to business expansion and boosted sales for the business operator. StarPay, which has been adopted in the current project, offers compatibility with more than 50 payment services including code payments, and enables various cashless payments to be introduced and managed simultaneously.
NETSTARS will continue to work towards the expansion of cashless payments with Stripe as a payment partner in the Japanese market, and will contribute to the improvement of operational efficiency and increased sales for a wide range of business clients.
