NETSTARS Co., Ltd. (“NETSTARS”; Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Tsuyoshi Ri) today announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) with imToken, a Singapore-based provider of the Web3 wallet service “imToken,” which is used in more than 150 countries and regions worldwide, to explore collaboration toward the real-world adoption of stablecoin payments.
Through this collaboration, NETSTARS and imToken will examine the integration of imToken’s wallet infrastructure with “Stablecoin Pay,” NETSTARS’ stablecoin payment service developed under “StarPay-X,” its gateway concept designed to connect Web2 and Web3 financial services. The companies aim to help build an environment for stablecoin payments at physical retail locations in Japan, while also exploring future opportunities to promote and expand stablecoin payment adoption across Asia.

Background of the Collaboration
NETSTARS is advancing “StarPay-X,” a gateway concept that connects Web2 and Web3 financial services. In July 2026, the company launched “Stablecoin Pay,” a stablecoin payment service for merchants using its multi-cashless payment solution “StarPay.” Stablecoin Pay supports multiple blockchains, wallets, and coins. In August 2026, NETSTARS also conducted a proof-of-concept trial for POS-linked payments using USDC, USDT, and JPYC at Lawson stores, as part of its efforts to promote the real-world adoption of stablecoin payments in physical retail environments.
imToken is one of Asia’s leading Web3 wallets, used in more than 150 countries and regions worldwide by over 20 million users. Supporting multiple blockchains including Bitcoin and Ethereum, imToken has gained strong user support as a non-custodial wallet and is widely used as one of the key access points to the Web3 ecosystem.
Significance of the MOU
For NETSTARS, this MOU represents an important step toward enabling multi-wallet support under the “StarPay-X” concept. By adding a widely used wallet as an option for users, NETSTARS aims to further promote the introduction of stablecoin payments at physical stores in Japan. Through this collaboration, the two companies will also exchange views on the potential for future market expansion.
For imToken, this MOU brings a new real-world use case to its 20 million users across more than 150 countries and regions. Through the collaboration, imToken aims to give both its users in Japan and those traveling there the ability to pay with stablecoins at physical stores, extending wallet usage from on-chain activity into everyday spending.
This MOU does not constitute a commitment to launch or introduce any specific service at this stage. The companies will continue discussions to explore potential areas of collaboration.
