ZENRYO and NETSTARS Enter Strategic Business Alliance to Promote BtoB Cashless Payments: Mutual Creation of New Services in the Hotel Industry

NETSTARS Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Tsuyoshi Ri; hereinafter, “NETSTARS”) and ZENRYO Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Mikio Nakama; hereinafter “ZENRYO”) have entered into a strategic business alliance to promote cashless business-to-business (BtoB) payments, aimed at hotel operators. Leveraging their respective strengths, the two companies will work together to create new services and improve user convenience.

Background and Purpose of the Alliance
In recent years, as travel demand has diversified and the number of inbound tourists has continued to grow, issues such as overtourism, increased accounting workloads for hotel operators, and the growing complexity of screening new overseas partners have become more pronounced. In addition, while digital transformation (DX) of the tourism industry is widely encouraged, it is extremely difficult for hotel operators to drive digitalization on their own with limited management resources. In light of this situation, ZENRYO and NETSTARS have formed this alliance to help hotel operators respond proactively to rising inbound tourism demand.

Contents of the Alliance
In addition to “ZENRYO Coupon”, a centralized settlement system for payments between travel agencies and accommodation facilities, and “ZENRYO Payment”, a BtoC payment service for travel agencies, hotel operators, and tourism facilities, ZENRYO will launch “ZENRYO Global Pay” in December 2025. This new service is designed to reduce the administrative workload of hotel operators when transacting with overseas travel agencies and online travel agents (OTAs), and will utilize NETSTARS’ BtoB cashless payment solution, “StarPay-Biz for Hotel.”
NETSTARS will provide full support to ensure the smooth introduction of “ZENRYO Global Pay” at tourism facilities and accommodation partners affiliated with ZENRYO.

Future Outlook
Through this alliance, ZENRYO and NETSTARS will accelerate the digital transformation (DX) of payment processes in the tourism industry and work to support the growth of hotel operators and related businesses across Japan. Looking ahead, the two companies will continue to collaborate to create new services and value that contribute to the development of Japan’s tourism industry.
