NETSTARS Enters Strategic Alliance with Traveloka, a Leading Southeast Asian Travel Reservation Platform
Streamlining Hotel Settlement Operations with VCN Payments

NETSTARS Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Tsuyoshi Ri; hereinafter, “NETSTARS”) and Traveloka Japan K.K. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Christian Adi Nugroho; hereinafter “Traveloka Japan”), the Japanese subsidiary of the all-in-one travel reservation platform “Traveloka”, which offers bookings for hotels, airline tickets, activities, airport transfers, rental cars and more, have entered into a strategic alliance to improve the efficiency of business-to-business (BtoB) settlement operations.

By implementing “StarPay-Biz for Hotel,” a payment platform service for hotel operators provided by NETSTARS, into “Traveloka,” accommodation facilities will be able to handle and process settlement operations for transactions with “Traveloka” through corporate payments using virtual card numbers (hereinafter “VCN”).
Under this framework, Traveloka Japan will issue a VCN based on the traveler’s booking and checkout information, and the hotel will process the payment using the VCN via the management screen provided by “StarPay-Biz for Hotel.” The hotel can receive payment simply by confirming the management screen; no manual operations such as number entry are necessary. This will reduce human error during the billing process, boost the efficiency of hotel operations, and lower the risk of uncollected payments, thereby contributing to improved productivity for hotels.

So far, NETSTARS has built partnerships with many accommodation providers across Japan, and has promoted the domestic adoption of VCN payments. “Traveloka,” which entered the Japanese market in May this year, has recognized the importance of automated settlement of accommodation fees as it expands its partnerships with Japanese accommodation providers, leading the company to implement “StarPay-Biz for Hotel” to enable streamlined settlement operations via VCNs. Further expansion of VCN payments at “Traveloka” through this alliance is planned, with implementation already in effect at multiple accommodation providers.
Traveloka Japan and NETSTARS will continue to leverage their respective products through this alliance, and work together to address challenges faced by accommodation providers.
