NETSTARS Launches Compatibility with Universal Point Service, “Ponta”
Providing Solutions for Simultaneous Implementation of
Multiple Cashless Payments and the Ponta Service

NETSTARS Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Tsuyoshi Ri; hereinafter, “NETSTARS”) and Loyalty Marketing, Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Tsuyoshi Hasegawa; hereinafter, “LM”), which operates the universal point service “Ponta”, jointly announce that NETSTARS’ multi-cashless payment solution “StarPay” will be compatible with Ponta, starting on January 15, 2024 (Monday).

Companies and stores wishing to introduce the Ponta service can apply to use the Ponta function of “StarPay”, which will allow addition or deduction of Ponta points during purchases by Ponta members. With StarPay, vendors can implement Ponta in addition to various overseas and domestic QR code payments and other cashless payment services, in response to consumer needs for cashless payments and point-use programs.

NETSTARS and LM will continue to cooperate toward the further expansion of corporate users of the “StarPay” and “Ponta” services.

StarPay is a multi-cashless payment solution that is compatible with QR code payment, credit card payment, electronic money and points, and enables stores to introduce and manage various cashless payments simultaneously.
NETSTARS is reinforcing StarPay’s compatibility with QR payments made by inbound tourists, and currently supports multiple payment services from Japan and overseas.

“Ponta”, the universal point service operated by LM, was launched in March 2010, and currently has more than 100 million members. Built on the concept of “Convenience, Good Value, and Fun”, Ponta can be used at approximately 280,000 stores across Japan, including payment for lifestyle infrastructure and internet services, in addition to daily consumer goods.
